Paul began his practice of yoga in 2000, has practiced exclusively in the Iyengar tradition since 2002 and began his teacher training studies in 2005. He regularly attends teacher training classes at the Austin Yoga Institute taught by Peggy Kelley and Devon Dederich. He also attends teacher training workshops with senior instructors Eddy Marks and Mary Obendorfer in Dallas and San Diego.

Paul has been a Masters swimmer, run marathons and been a full time, state ranked triathlete.

Paul has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
